Slammers Trade with Pioneer League Ogden Raptors

Joliet, IL (December 13, 2021) – The Joliet Slammers announced the acquisition of catcher Kyle Kaufman and right-hand pitcher Mark Mixon from the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League.  

Heading to the Ogden Raptors are catcher/right fielder Jordan Rathbone and right-hand pitcher Tom Walker. 

Kaufman, catcher, hit .316 this first year outside of the NCAA, earned 4 home runs and 27 RBIs, and threw out 40% of base runners.  

Mixon, right-handed relief pitcher, formerly with the Miami Hurricanes (3 in 1 with 2.33 ERA), pitched 6 in 1 with 51 strikeouts in 58 innings during the 2021 season with the Raptors.
