Joliet, ILThe Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy lost the second game of the series to the Lake Erie Crushers 9-6 Thursday night. 

After scoring a run in the top of the first the Crushers put up four more runs in the top of the second.

The Slammers quickly responded with a four-run inning in the bottom of the third led by Trenton Hill’s two-run single to tie the game back at 5. 

The Slammers would remain scoreless until a homerun by Justin Garcia in the bottom of the ninth ending the game at 9-6 Lake Erie.

Tonight’s Merchants and Manufacturers Bank Player of the Game is Justin Garcia for going 1-2 scoring twice with an RBI.

The Slammers are back home tomorrow to conclude the series against the Crushers at 7:05 p.m.
