Hiring and managing a coaching staff and other baseball operations personnel such as clubhouse managers
Recruiting and signing players, both in season and out of season–must have connections across pro and college ball in order to build a successful team and have resources in and out of season to sign players
In-game management of team and oversight of coaching staff
Attend community events as directed by front office staff and oversee player participation in community events
Organize and conduct daily pregame workout/BP
Organize and conduct spring training
Attend all Slammers games, home and away, including taking team transportation
Work closely with the General Manager to identify and prioritize baseball operation equipment needs
Attend all league and team mandated pre-season meetings
Oversee and coordinate all other day-to-day operations pertaining to the Joliet Slammers. These may include, but are not limited to team travel, host families, clubhouse management, and youth camps
Work closely with the extra events coordinator to maximize field time for both the team and outside rentals
Maintain a player payroll that comes under both the team and league salary cap
Abide by and support all rules, and conditions and regulations as set forth by the Joliet Slammers and the Frontier League
Work to get players signed by MLB teams
